Howdy. I would like to monitor an LED on a device and sense when it changes colors. I see this sensor (https://www.adafruit.com/products/1334), but it seems to use a white light to illuminate an object to sense it's color. So I am not sure if this sensor is also usable to sense the color of an LED (I guess the white light would have to be turned off).
Suggestions?

You can turn the LED off to sense incident light only.
