Waterproof connectors for Waterproof LED strips

Aloha

I've got a project to use my inventory of Waterproof LED Strip (all three varieties - same color/LDP8806/HL1606) that will put the project outdoors in a rather wet climate (Keanae Maui HI). The connectors that ship with the strips are nice but I doubt they are waterproof. So I'm starting to look for some waterproof connectors. There will be at least 4 separate strips with 4-6 lines in each (depending on strip types). There will also be some remote input devices to provide manual control of the installation.

I think panel mounted jacks would be better than a pigtail -- easier to seal up the control box with panel mounts than cable holes. Jack covers (for when not in use) might simply be standard outdoor electrical boxes. Years ago I hunted up similar stuff for some commercial projects and found some mil-spec connector$. I do NOT need milspec this time and prefer not to pay premium for such.

It may be a good idea to use different connectors for different strip types/input devices to avoid confusion during setup. Then again getting a bulk discount and using good identification may be better.

So - main question here is:

What types of outdoor/waterproof connectors (plug/jack) do you recommend for low power/digital control projects?

Cool Neon offers some waterproof connectors at a really good price (nearest thing I could find was like $8+ on DigiKey...oof!)

Male: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.ACC ... id.1005/.f
Female: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.ACC ... id.1007/.f
Pass-through w/power tap: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.ACC ... /id.993/.f

Word of caution, though it's probably obvious, but just for posterity: the strips and pixels that Adafruit and Cool Neon are selling are based on different driver chips and thus each require fundamentally different software to operate, so please note that you can't mate parts from the two ecosystems by adding the same plugs. Each is unique and we don't provide support for their pixels or accessories, nor the other way 'round.

Cool Neon? Very nice - thank you. They are my EL-wire supplier and have a customer service attitude much like yours -- very helpful/friendly.
The descriptions are not all that great but I think several of the male/female connectors will work.
These might be something to add to the PartFinder as 4 wire connectors - with caveat not to mix TCL and LED Strip (and ac power and 3 phase ....)
