Hi,
Is there a way to use the arduino UNO R3 and the strand of 25 leds WS2801, without a computer to get the corlorswirl effect?

The strandtest example included with the WS2801 Arduino library does something similar, in the rainbowCycle() function. You could cut out the other test functions and just keep that in. Or use this as a starting point for porting the colorswirl code from Processing to Arduino.
