I have a project requiring a 32x24 grid of RGB LEDs. I was thinking about using the WS2801 strings you guys have, but have heard that Arduinos have trouble with strands this long without flickering (& >30fps would be optimal - 15 would do).
I have found a 30A 12V power supply & plan on injecting power at proper intervals. Furthermore, I've ordered a Maple to potentially deal with some of the refresh rate and memory issues that may be encountered from an Arduino.
Does anyone have experience with such a large strand of WS2801s without encountering flicker issues?
