I'd like to use 6 -> 8 of these to light up a small artificial Christmas tree but I don't want to have to deal with all those coin cell holders. I'd like to power these from one power supply or battery pack. I understand I'd have to add some resistance based in the voltage selected. I'd like to run the power up the trunk and solder the individual branch pieces onto this
Are the LED's wired in parallel between the two wires or in series along the wires?
I'd like to shorten/lengthen the strands to fit along the branches. Is it OK to cut some off of one strand and solder it to another?

you can parallel them all together, thats what we suggest, and power from a 5V DC supply - a 5V 2A would light many!
