Hello demmax2004.

I have received my arduino uno and 100 leds ws2801, and I would like to use your program ambibox for the xbmc.
I am a noob with the arduino.
Please can you tell me if I only need to upload the ledstream.pde to the arduino , and then, configure the ambibox with the number of leds and the position????

I am not sure, if I have to use the ledstream.pde or adalight.pde.....

And If I only want the ambibox for view movies in xbmc, Do I need the playclaw installed o not? I don't need the ambilight for games..
thanks for all.

Better capture a PlayClaw, but it is possible and means AmbiBox, you need only to XBMC -> System-> Video output-> Use a fullscreen window rather than tru fullscreen = enabled.

You need to upload ledstream.pde only to use AmbiBox.

Hi,

I do have some questions and maybe someone can help me.

Right now my HTPC is running mediaportal, atmowin and the ardurino uno and it is working really good. But I would like to switch to xbmc.

Is ambibox working with xbmc using true fullscreen and aero on?

I uploaded LEDstream_LPD8806.pde to my arduino and after powering it on the colours are changing but ambibox is doing nothing. It says the arduino is connected, but nomatter what mode I use I don't get any lights.

Is there a step by step guide?

My os is windows 7 32bit

thanks

I did that, but as I wrote It is not working. Can I use the default settings of playclaw or do I have to change something. I can the the fps, cpu and so on - so I think playclaw is working

AmbiBox with PlayClaw to work with XBMC is fine, unless you are have taken older versions of software/

Playclaw 4 Build 2352.

But even without playclaw my leds are not working. I think after clicking on "show area of capture" the leds should switch on. I tried every single method of screen capture, but non is working on the desktop?

Which pde for the arduino is the right on, maybe I have a wrong one, but after resetting the arduino (without ambibox started) the leds are working like they should. They are switching the colours three or four times.

This version is very old and does not work correctly.

If standard methods of capture does not work, then the problem is in the device. I do not know what firmware to upload to the device.

@demmax2004
thanks for your try to help me.

I really would like to use it, but if no one of the others here tries to help me, I think I have to give up.

Last call for help now!

can someone give me a working *.pde or*.ino. Some post above it is written that the ledstream.pde should be used. In the adalight tut. it is the Adalight.pde. So which one is the right one.

I tried the Colorswirl.pde with processing and it is working, but I don't have luck with ambibox.

I have 90 leds and it would be really nice if someone can help me

thanks

So, started right from the scratch. Ambibox is working now (on the desktop), but how do I get playclaw (build 2600 - the latest one) to work with xbmc frodo. Are there some settings in playclaw itself that I have to make?
