Does anyone have the exact measurements for the Neopixel strips?
I'm drawing something up in CAD and it would be really useful to have some super precise measurements for the pixel spacing and sizes etc
A DWG would be awesome.
Planning on using the 30 per metre strips.

The measurements are on the product page:

12.5mm (0.5") wide, 4mm (0.16") thick with casing on, 33mm (1.3") long per segment
30 LEDs per meter

Thanks, I saw those — was wondering more about the height of the components etc too.
Also the spacing between the connectors

Re: Exact measurements for Neopixel LED strips
I just got these and have measured them — they're 33.3mm (I guess the real measurement is 33.333mm)adafruit_support_rick wrote:The measurements are on the product page:

Makes sense as they're 1 metre strips with 30 LEDs
Glad I never got anything cut/machined etc before.
Buyers should also be aware that every x number of segments they are soldered together — which knocks the 33.3 out of whack by a couple of mm.

We added a few more details based on your questions -- what other factors would you want to know?
12.5mm (0.5") wide, 4mm (0.16") thick with casing on, 1.85mm (0.07") thick without casing, 33mm (1.3") long per segment

I am really just after accurate measurements — check with your venier calipers — but the segments are 33.3mm — it may only be .3mm but it means a lot over a decent distance.

Re: Exact measurements for Neopixel LED strips
Please please can we just get just get hi-res pictures next to a ruler? That should fix any problem right? Also if you do both metric and imperial I would always be thankful. oh oh and if you're feeling a little generous you can throw all angles shots
(I just bought a 4m. roll 2 fadecandy an arduino and some other stuff, I want to start designing enclosures for the project, but i need to know exactly the measures oh the square plastic containing the led, the exact separation between led and strip border, etc.)

Make sure you spot where the joins are - it puts the measurements off.escusado wrote:Please please can we just get just get hi-res pictures next to a ruler? That should fix any problem right? If you're cutting x number of LEDs to make smaller strips then ideally cut around the joins - if that makes sense.
