16x32 LED matrix single pixel behavior

Post by mummra »

Hi!

Just bought the 16x32 matrix and have it up and working for the most part.. i am however experiencing some weird behavior in pixels surrounding lit pixels.. i can see faint, but still very visible, colors bleeding through on pixels that should be completely black. It's very hard to see in the examples because of the sheer brightness of the screen, but when plotting a single pixel it's very visible. These pixels are always of the same color of the surrounding pixel but nowhere near the brightness. I've tried w/ and w/ buffering with the same results. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Thanks!

Nat

A little bleed through on these displays is not unusual.

Are you using an Arduino Uno, Arduino Mega, or something different? I've observed very subtle timing differences between them...a Mega would show some ghosting, while an Uno would not, even on the exact same matrix hardware.
