I just tested the Nokia 5110 display that I bought recently, following the tutorial on the product page (https://www.adafruit.com/products/338). To my dismay I found that it has a dead row. I think that the defect is within the LCD component itself, and unlikely to be repairable.
The picture with the lines shows the defect. The picture with the dot shows how living, turned-off pixels are slightly visible but dead pixels are invisible.
How do I get a replacement/refund?
