Is the ht16k33 i2c backpack capable of driving the common ca

Post by Eredhuin »

I am thinking of product 1427 and was hoping to use it to drive product 813. After a lot of wiring fails it seems like I am not doing something right. I wondered if the common cathode LEDs are not drivable. I also noticed the i2c address was 0x76 which I sort of expected it to be 0x70. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Thanks

We use the same LEDs and the same driver chip in our I2C LED backpacks.
Here's the schematic of the seven segment backpack - you should be able to figure out the wiring from there
