Thanks again! Didn't have the chance to reply before, the 2nd PWM Channel fix worked perfectly!
I'd like to ask you guys one last thing, just in case someone had the same issue (not sure if I need to open a new topic for this).
I'm using the LED strips to turn on specific LEDs for 1-3 hrs periods of time, and I'm using a 5V-4A power supply, due to the 5 x 144 LED strips I put together. Although I'm just powering around 30 LEDs at once along the whole strip, I just thought having more power to feed the strip from was a good idea.
Everything is now running great.
I just noticed that the first LED at the strip suddenly turns on green, white or yellow (sometimes right when a program starts running; sometimes after it had certain time running; and sometimes without even running anything, as long as the strip is powered and raspberry pi is on). This happens even if I send a RGB code of (0,0,0) to all the strip, sometimes.
I'm following the best practices notes and have a 1000uf cap between +5V and GND, a diode from +5V to the strip, and a 470 ohm resistor at the data input pin.
I believe there's nothing wrong with the first LED, because it works fine if I program it. When I don't is when it starts behaving like that.
Do you have any idea of why is this happening?
Thanks in advance
Jorge
UPDATE
I found the problem! I was missing to join both GNDs (Raspberry pi and LED Strip)
Sorry about that... It's working perfect now

Re: Raspberry Pi and NeoPixel Library
Oh nice, glad to hear you found the issue. Yep a floating ground will cause lots of random colors as the pixels read a noisey signal. Sounds like a fun project, good luck!
