I have two questions on using the neopixel LED strip (product ID 1506) with an arduino uno or mega for a sign with scrolling text.
First, is scrolling text supported by the arduino libraries? I read the tutorial online [https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide]. The tutorial said that the libraries include commands to draw shapes and text, but don't mention if they support scrolling the text.
Second, if scrolling is supported, is it better to use multiple strips for each row of LEDs making the text (I am using 5), or is it better to use one continuous tape in series for all 5 rows?
I am new to electronics (in the 7th grade now) but have been using arduino for a couple years for a number of projects (to motorize things, play music and run multiple 7 segment LEDs).

This was designed to be written to over bluetooth but the pixels and the setup should help answer some of your questions. https://learn.adafruit.com/guggenhat-bl ... -neopixels
