Serial Backpack - GPO pins

Post by PaulSak »

Hi,

I am using the Serial Backpack Kit with a backlight positive 20x4 LCD. Everything is mostly working as it should, but the documentation isn't clear about addressing the unused GPO pins. Am I able to control each of the 4 pins individually? Or do I only get to use the GPO On/GPO Off commands to set all at once? This is pretty important being that I am out of digital pins on my Arduino Uno, but still need 2 for relay control. The project I am working on is a 2-heater, 2-thermocouple temperature controller. It is 99% complete, with just this issue remaining.

Thanks in advance!

Paul

its individual control, send the two command bytes and then one byte with the pin # you want to toggle
