I truly apologize if this has already been asked elsewhere but...
Can the TFP401 be used to drive a 15.1" LCD savaged from a laptop?
I expect I'd need to edit the EDID and use a TTL to LVDS repeater at a minimum.
I know there are ready made solutions for this on ebay but I'm asking for the sake of learning here.
If it is possible then it'd be way more fun than just buying from ebay.

We can't say if it will work with a particular display of yours. We've tested it with the 800x480 we have in the shop.
