All,
I am building the WiFi Pandora Radio project, and all works well except for one modification.
The LCD and Backpack are mounted to the top of an enclosure, and I am trying to use ribbon cable to connect it to the Pi. Seeing as though both ends are female, I purchased some male headers. When I attach the male headers, I get an input/output error for the LCD. The LCD doesn't light up, and.... that's that.
If I remove the ribbon cable and male headers and attach the Pi to the LCD directly, the script works fine.
How can I use ribbon cable in this example, OR, what would you folks recommend I use to support the Pi to the top of the box, hanging down from the LCD?

Could you post some pictures of the connections? Are you sure you are getting solid connections and you have the pins going to the correct header locations?

I'm using the male headers from Adafruit (PID 400) and the connection feels tight and secure. However, the LCD doesn't illuminate.

Test your cable. Make sure pin 1 on the pi end is mating with pin 1 on the TFT end.
