I have the Pixel Qi LCD: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1303
It came with a RTD2660H display board: https://learn.adafruit.com/hdmi-ubergui ... iver-board
WHERE I'M USING THE LCD
My first computer is a Dell XPS m1710 gaming laptop running Windows XP 32-bit. On the back you'll find a DVI port and a VGA port (a 32" LCD screen is using the DVI port). Here's a image http://i.imgur.com/DA9Z5IH.png The second is a newer, self-built computer running Windows 7 64-bit. I have a nVidia GeForce GTX 650 with 2 DVI ports. My motherboard has 1 VGA port.
THE STEPS I TOOK
- I plugged the power cable into the controller board's power supply. (Worth noting after plugging in the power for a second the light on the keyboard controller changes from green to red and stays red until I unplug the power cable. I don't know if red means good.)
- Using the keyboard controller I turned on the LCD and then changed the input to VGA.
- I then connected the Pixel Qi LCD to the VGA ports on both systems.
- The LCD does not appear in Screen Resolution (Windows 7) or Display Properties (Windows XP) as a "third" available display option.
- The only thing I see is a blue screen with the words "No signal".
IN SUMMARY
I tried connecting the Pixel Qi LCD into the VGA ports of a computer running Windows XP 32-bit and another computer running Windows 7 64-bit and neither worked.
QUESTIONS & GUIDANCE
What am I missing?
Do I need to so something more than what I am doing?
Does the VGA port on the controller board require something else I don't have? I bought https://www.adafruit.com/product/1303 so I figured it was a kit.
Do I need to install drivers?
Please help. I don't know what the next step is.
