2.8 tft raspberry pi not working

Hi,
I have a 2.8' tft (pid:1601) for the raspberry pi b+ that is no longer working. I followed the easy install steps
on the website and i am using a raspian operating system. The screen will go from white to black on start up but
will not show anything.

As well when i test the screen using sudo evtest /dev/input/touchscreen, feedback is recorded there just is a black
screen.
