Re: HDMI not working : HDMI 4 Pi: 7" Display w/Touchscreen 1
I HAVE tried with another HDMI cable.
I see an error in trying to attach the picture to my post. So I emailed support@adafruit and heard
back from Kelly. Do you have access to that picture from her? Or is there any other way I can send it to you?
I'm using this power adapter: https://www.adafruit.com/products/63.

One more thing to add. The display did show Raspbian shell prompt for a few seconds when I first tried to HDMI from a pi2 but subsequently that stopped working. The pi2 is able to power a TV monitor.

You can post .jpg and .png files here up to 1meg in size 800x600 works well or you can post it on a sharing site and post the link here.

Re: HDMI not working : HDMI 4 Pi: 7" Display w/Touchscreen 1
ok lets start from the begining, using a raspberry Pi:
first up, make sure the TFT is solidly connected into the slot, with the flex part plugged all the way in, there's two ears on the side, make sure those are snapped down and holding the tft in solidly.
next up, without anything connected to HDMI, but powering up, do you ever see a blue or black screen with "HDMI" or "VGA" in the corner, or "NO SIGNAL" or anything on the TFT?

'NO SIGNAL' is displayed when HDMI cable is not connected as what one would expect BUT ALSO after cable from p2 is connected.
Here's a video(128 MB) showing the problem:

If the problem cannot be resolved today, we want a working replacement to be sent as soon as possible. Thanks!

OK The TFT is fine, did you press the button on the control board to switch to HDMI input?
https://learn.adafruit.com/hdmi-uberguide/keyboard
it has to be set to HDMI input, it should say HDMI in the corner

Re: HDMI not working : HDMI 4 Pi: 7" Display w/Touchscreen 1
Hi,
Yes when I set the input button to HDMI, the display worked just fine.
But the button is not labeled as input(wrong revision sent to end customer?) and this cost me several hours and an important deadline.
Anyway, thanks for helping resolve.
Btw, is there anything additionally I need to know about the touchscreen in terms of calibration, debouncing, improving sensitivity?
