Hello,
I have installed your software over a wheezy installation - all went well there.
After a halt - switch off - fit PiTFT I switched the power in again.
The screen stayed black but then I noticed that I had fitted the PiTFT incorrectly
by placing the connector block to one position to the right. Leaving pin 1 and 3 in the air.
After correcting that I retried an the screen now is white.
I have a nasty suspicion that I have blown something........
Could you kindly perhaps suggest something?
PiTFT - whoops

Shouldn't really have blown anything. Post a picture of the back side of the PiTFT. Maybe the flex cable is loose.

I cleverly omitted to tell you I had the PiFTF working, however the old SD Card would not boot anymore
(Off topic: I have now had 3 SD's that will not boot, but can be written and read by windows and also after a SDFormat)
I checked the connection of the flat cable and it looks perfectly OK.
It doesn't look very promising, does it? $35 up the swanney.

Don't know what to tell you. It shouldn't have toasted, but I can't think of what else could be wrong with it.
