Flora-what to buy with it?

Post by linda barlow »

I bought a Flora for my students to play around with. I thought it was a kit. What do I need to make it open ended so once kids watch some tutorials they have materials to play with. For example what kind of wires, etc. I'm new at this and don't know electronics at all.

We have a few bundles that are good for getting started:

The budget pack includes some neopixel leds and basic batteries alligator clip leads and conductive thread supplies. This is enough to get started with some simple projects. http://www.adafruit.com/products/1405

The sensor pack includes a selection of sensors, as well as the LEDs batteries and conductive thread. http://www.adafruit.com/products/1458 This kit contains enough to do some of the more interesting sensor-based tutorials. I'd recommend adding in a set of alligator clip leads if you go this way. http://www.adafruit.com/products/1008

The GPS starter pack includes the GPS module and some electronic parts for some of the more advanced tutorials. http://www.adafruit.com/products/1090
