Arduino Starter

Post by JLHimes »

Hey all,

I'm new to the world of robotics, but I'm still embarking on a learning center for kids ;-)

I plan on having Arduino available to them for exploration (as well as hiring in arduino knowledgeable staff and learning this myself) - But, I'm trying to get numbers together and need to know exactly what I SHOULD have if I'm going to have 25 arduino UNO and breadboards available. Which sensor kits, which LED kits, which type of wheels, motors, etc? I need a fully stocked beginner rack, but don't want to blow my bank up.

Thanks!

Why start with robots? If you and the kids are new to this get the Unos and breadboards with jumpers, a good power supply and some LEDs or Neopixels or Dotstars. Get some push buttons for input and learn that. You don't say how old these kids are and that might make a difference.
