Beaglebone Black & Ultimate GPS & 2.2" TFT Display

Post by mcc »

Hi,

(sorry for my english...)

from www.exp-tech.de I ordered a Ultimate GPS breakout board (rectangle one) and
a 2.2" SPI TFT (ILI9340) display. I want to connect both to my Beaglebone Black (Rev. A5).

Since the GPIO-pins of the Beaglebone Black cannot drive much current (output) nor stand with
much voltage (input) I want to ask, whether it is possible to connect the I/O pins of the GPS and
the display directly to those of the Beaglebone Black or do I need driver chips (and if so: which do
you would recommend?)

Thank you very much in advance for any help!
And thank you very much of all those wonderful things you build!
Best regards,
Meino Cramer

Apply 3.3V to VIN on both modules and it all should work fine. No additional drivers needed.
