I am working on a project with my PiTFT and was wondering if it is possible to load a static image in place of the normal boot screen scrolling text. I saw a thread on the forums about using Plymouth to load an animated boot screen but I just wanted a simple image if possible.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for making such wonderful products!

Re: Displaying image during boot with PiTFT
There's no easy way to make the PiTFT display an image as soon as the RasPi boots.
The point where the RasPi knows how to talk to the PiTFT comes fairly late in the boot process. The OS has to do a lot of other hardware recognition and configuration first. Until then, the PiTFT's screen should stay blank.
