Need small NON PWM display. Which ones are PWM free?

Post by Radiation »

Hi.

Because i have sensitive skin/nervous system, I get severe skin burn from PWM driven displays, as well as "big" (normal size) LCD displays.

As i do not have this problem, ever, with TINY PWM free LCDs on mp3 players, and similar, I am desperately trying to find a small LCD display,
about 2 to 5 inch max, but the smaller the better, that has absolutely NO pwm. 100% continious light. (Or however you spell it, I am swedish).

I am in desperate need of a really really small LCD display, that can be conneced to windows primerely. I have a raspberry pi and would really like for it to be connectable to that as well, but it is super important that at least windows work with it on a "regular pc".

Please please tell me which displays you sell match my needs.

Again, needs are:

ca 2-5 inch display, 100% no pwm backlight, functional with any "normal" pc as well. Also preferably really DARK, or dimable without PWM, regular DC powered dimming.

Would revoultionase my life, as i can only use a computer for minutes before i get a skinburn with big displays (even with big pwm free displays). Not so with small ones.

Will a 320x240 display work with windows 7 btw? with some easy hack?

dying for answers. Hope u ship to sweden ?

eInk displays are about the most non-PWM'd I can imagine:

They have no backlight at all.

You might also look at the Pixel Qi display:

That offers the option of shutting off the backlight entirely and running it as a transflective display (light comes in the front and reflects off a mirror behind the screen. The colors get filtered along the way).
