PiTFT With Garbled Display

Hi guys,

Following the instructions at https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... i/overview I get a PiTFT garbled display. I have tried both the custom image option and the Easy Install script option.

Regardless what I try to put on the screen, booting console, fbi image, etc., I get a garbled display. I can see something moving on the screen but it isn't clear.

I have tried this on both the RPi B and RPi B+. My PiTFT came pre-assembled.

What can I try to clear up the display? Is the PiTFT possibly damaged?

I moved this question to a new topic as requested.

I believe I have solved this. I am using the 2.8" display and I opted for the 3.5" display in the setup (35r instead of 28r). It is working now.

I have another issue now that's it working. The screen while at the console has a flicker. This flicker isn't there when showing an image. How do I adjust the refresh or whatnot to remove the flicker?

Shouldn't flicker. Can you post a picture of the back of the PiTFT? I'd like to see if the ribbon cable is plugged in all the way

Sorry, I didn't see that you replied. Here is the image of the back. I haven't noticed a flicker lately, but I have re-seated the PiTFT plate a couple of times. Maybe it wasn't sitting right. Right now it's installed in the Adafruit PiTFT/RPi case and it's working fine.

Looks good . Glad to head the flicker is gone.
