Greetings.
On 9/28 I purchased a PERISTALTIC LIQUID PUMP WITH SILICONE TUBING, however personal inadequacies have kept me from taking the time to test it until now, and I must say I'm frustrated and disappointed.
The problem I'm having is that the pump isn't working properly. With the pump assembled, the shaft of the motor will either not turn at all, or will be sluggish and stick, or be very slow. The shaft of the motor does rotate if I remove the pump, and reassembling the pump has mixed and inconsistent results, none of which are really worth much if I want a drink robot. :(
Initially I thought this was due to the operating conditions I was working in (close to 0 C), but after moving to warmer conditions and letting the pump acclimate for a couple hours I tried again with similar results.
I have disassembled the pump and provided a picture, hopefully with adequate lighting.

By the way, the captcha you're using is awesome.

What are you using to power the motor?

Aha, there was part of the problem. When I tested in higher temperatures I wasn't using an external power supply. Silly me.
Using a 12V 5A external power supply in decent working temperatures the pump works much better than before - the rollers are moving, though sometimes the motor shaft spins freely, or will move the rollers, and then start to spin freely.
It's usable now, at least.

Good power helps. Also, at very low temperature, the tubing will tend to stiffen up and create more resistance. Still, it should not be slipping like that. If you contact [email protected] with a link to this thread we can send a replacement.
