Hi, I'd like to attach a USB 5.8GHz antena/transmitter to Raspberry Pi, (and use it as a personal hotspot), does anybody know if there's any product supported in Pi platoform?
thank you

Re: 5.8GHz antena
I'm afraid we only have 2.4GHz wifi hardware.
You might ask over in the RasPi forums: http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/

Re: 5.8GHz antena
The D-Link DWA-182 Rev. C (or C1 ??) is a USB 3.0/2.0 WiFi AC adapter with Linux drivers. What I don't know is how intensive the adapter is on any given CPU.
Edit:
Err, wait, 5.8GHz? What runs on 5.8GHz? Wikipedia states that 802.11P works at 5.8-5.9 GHz for vehicle communication applications. Sounds like very early bleeding edge stuff, or something related to HAM radio.

Re: 5.8GHz antena
Some 802.11n devices use the 5.8GHz band.
