Touch Screen not fully length on Raspberry Pi!

Post by kpfromer »

Hello,

Product: HDMI 5" 800x480 Display Backpack - With Touchscreen : https://www.adafruit.com/products/2260

Problem:
I just got the project the other day ago and have an counter a optical bug? Under the Raspberry Pi config I have uncommented : hdmi_safe=1 to fix another glitch with the screen. I have been playing around with some the of the config to try to fix this bug, but nothing works. Any help?
On the photo I am talking about the the lines on the right.

yep the display does not have a *scaler* so you have to set the data to be 800x480 in config.txt - if you do hdmisafe it is only 640x480 and so the 160 remaining pixels are 'garbage'!
the display is fine. please update config.txt :)
