PITFT-Assembled 480x320 3.5 not working

Post by k_pierce »

HI I ordered Tuesday 03 feb invoice no 697754

I am having trouble with my pitft, it only displays a white screen. I have tried all the trouble shooting in the forums. I have used a ribbon cable and tried plugging in the other header pins but still get white screen. I have also hooked it up to a monitor and press ALT-F2 and i get the desktop monitor with login prompt.

Can you post the output of
sudo dmesg

You mean you have tried it plugged directly into the Pi, right?

Are you using the easy-install image from here?

Re: PITFT-Assembled 480x320 3.5 not working

Post by adafruit2 »

OK one last thing, just check the back, the two little side nubs on the flex connector, sometimes they come loose! Make sure they are totally closed, you can use needlenose pliers to snap them closed.

If that doesn't help please email support@adafruit and ask for a replacement and a RETURN LABEL with RMA "FORPHIL" - we'd like to see what happened since this is a rare event!
