Dear team,
I have been working for a couple of days in installing the piTFT 2.2 using the latest release of raspbian (2015-05-05-raspbian-wheezy). If I follow the steps of the tutorial in the website (which are basically the following:)
curl -SLs https://apt.adafruit.com/add | sudo bash
sudo apt-get install -y raspberrypi-bootloader
sudo apt-get install -y adafruit-pitft-helper
sudo adafruit-pitft-helper -t 22
sudo reboot
the pitft doesnt work.
It works if instead of installing raspberrypi-bootloader
I Install the raspberrypi-bootloader-adafruit-pitft, that is :
curl -SLs https://apt.adafruit.com/add | sudo bash
sudo apt-get install -y raspberrypi-bootloader-adafruit-pitft
sudo apt-get install -y adafruit-pitft-helper
sudo adafruit-pitft-helper -t 22
sudo reboot
However, when I do this, Althought the display works, I lost important files in my system related to libraspberrypi-dev library.
For example, after installing raspberrypi-bootloader-adafruit-pitft, I can not find in the system bcm_host.h (sudo find / -name bcm_host.h) which is important for my app
Thanks in advance
problem with the 2.2 piTFT

Re: problem with the 2.2 piTFT
yah you definietely need raspberrypi-bootloader-adafruit-pitft (the adafruit bootloader-kernel is required, we compiled it for PiTFT support)
you can just copy the bcm_host.h file from some other raspberry pi
