Hi, apologies if this is the wrong forum. I have a Raspberry Pi B+ (and considering a Pi 2) and I would like to create a sort of portable unit. Can the aforementioned Pis be powered with something like the USB port on this item: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1667 assuming the screen gets the 12 volts power it requires?
As an alternative, can the Raspberry Pi Foundation's official touchscreen be set up to only require one power cable to be connected, with say something like this https://www.adafruit.com/products/2033 ?
Powering the Pi with the miniature display's USB port.

I doubt that would work. The USB port on the PID 1667 is only for a USB stick. It probably doesn't provide enough power to run the Pi.

Alright thanks for the info. Good to know before I spend the money.
