Speedometer with Flora/Mini?

Post by danilkolesnikov »

Hello everyone,

Anyone has ideas how to make a speedometer with a small sized arduino? Flora/Mini/Nano.
Size is crucial. Uno is too bulky.

Thanks for any thoughts!

A flying disc.

For this night the best thing I came up so far is GPS powered speedometer. But it is pretty expensive.
Any other ideas?

And hey thanks for such a fast reply!

A flying disc.
A Flora or Gemma would be natural choices for the processor due to shape. The real challenge will be figuring out what sensor to use and keeping everything precisely balanced.

Does all the circuitry have to be on-board? Or can you have a stationary component that detects the speed of the disc?
