I'd like to attach some NeoPixels to my Kid's horse harness. (The BANNED strappy thing that goes around it head.) Singles and maybe a couple 12 pixel rings. I'm not worried about the circuits or software bits, I'm a geek. My real issue is, coming up with how to attach and wire the bits to the BANNED itself.
Anyone have any suggestions for something like this? I do have 3D printers and can model stuff. Just need some hints to get going here.
Thanks millions!

Re: NeoPixel on Horse harness?
Look on the Adafruit Learning system for the tutorials on neopixel spikes and the dog collar projects. You can see from there how things are attached. You can also attach all of the electronics on a similar web strap harness and then add some BANNED or fabric wraps/tabs/ties that mount it on top of the regular harness. Electrical tape or duct tape the circuit first to test fit and functionality. I think you would want to go with something that is removable before you permanently mod an expensive horse harness.
Haha, I'm no horse whisperer but I guess you'll have to see how your horse reacts to lights and keep rider safety in mind. I have seen the light up horsetail hair extensions that look pretty cool. Maybe go for an EL wire trimmed saddle? Good luck.I'm not worried about the circuits or software bits, I'm a geek.
