Practically all famous 303 tracks have some sort of effects or postprocessing applied. Example: for New Order's Confusion, you'd need at minimum compression, distortion, and reverb. (Not necessarily in that order.) Without knowing all of the gear in their signal chain, you probably wouldn't be able to recreate the sound exactly.

In playing with my x0xb0x, I've found that the dry 303 sounds actually get a little dull after awhile. But a few effects liven things right up. I think this is why the mods forum is so popular.

Unfortunately that line can never be recreated as it exists on an entirely different level of reality then our own. Mortal men have been driven bankrupt and mad in the pursuit of such folly!

ok so I just built another x0xb0x and put this pattern in it........... it's not ego acid, it's confusion (my bad)

added accents to steps
1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14

sounds correct(ish) t0 me
