I just got an xoxbox and after abandoning a midi sync with ableton I synced it up to some other gear and it worked well.
It sounds sweet.
However I have discovered that I can't edit while it is midi synced.
Is there a way to have the xoxbox synced up to other hardware as slave or master and also be able to edit notes? eg edit the pattern while its playing along with a korg ea1?
Without hearing my patterns synced and mixed in with the song it is hard to tweak them.
Adjusting them without the track is a bit hit and miss and can be very time consuming. Surely there is a way to tweak a pattern (and I don't mean the knobs
) while the device is midisynced and playing? Any advice would be appreciated.
If it cant be done I will have to fire up Rebirth and do my pattern creating there.
