Hello,
I'm new so let me introduce myself: I'm Joel, 19 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I recently bought a x0xb0x(at xoxshop.de, great service!) and I'm verry happy with it! The only thing is it's loaded with the standard firmware and I want to have the shuffle function etc. Christian from xoxshop.de recommended sokkOS 1.9.1 version. Sounds great! but...how do I load this into my x0xb0x? I really don't want to mess up my x0x and I'm quite a noob in this things. Could someone please help me? Would really appreciate it!
acid greets,
Joel

A simple search in the forums might have gotten you quite far.

Re: x0xb0x sokkOS
Ok, he has sended me the drivers for mac/PC. For my studio I'm using a PC with windows 7 and the Macbook is just for school&stuff. Anyways, when I put my x0xb0x into bootload, turn it on en put the USB cable in my PC, nothing happens. Without any connection I cannot install the drivers for PC(right? Correct me if I'm wrong). But I really want to put sokkOS 1.9.1. on my x0x, such cool features:(

This is what I mean; There is no unidentified USB in my list, nothing:(

Plug in USB's, open your c0ntr0l, turn x0x to bootload, then turn on x0x. In c0ntr0l go to x0xb0x then upload firmware, click on your sokkOS hex
the driver is just software that goes on your computer in order to allow it to communicate to your x0x. You shouldn't need to
have your x0x plugged in to install it i recall
check here about using it on a mac os

if it gives an error, keep pressing upload or w/e and it should bypass that error

Re: x0xb0x sokkOS
Thanks for all the help! But I know what the problem is...The usb port on the x0x is broken, so I'm gonna send it back to Germany today. I don't really know how this happened, but it's too bad. My studioPC harddrive crashed yesterday, so this was defenitly not my best weekend ever.

Unfortunatelly there are some days when it's better to sit and do not do anything, other case you can make the things even worse.. It was one of them i think.. Hope you have solved your problems on the next day
