yeah, i meant that the x0xbx0x firmware can be modified completely and turn the x0xb0x into a TR-x0x-like drum sequencer

(i saw your other thread about using only the sequencer without the 303 analog part)
that is probably possible but you'd have to mess with some stuff..

on the other hand, if you have the whole x0xb0x (which is f*ckin great already)
..the firmware is opensource (you can find it at source forge)
the x0x has lots of buttons and LEDs, midi and dinsync
so, you can remove most of the firmware stuff (the x0x sequencer) and write a new sequencer which for example has 16 "instruments" (BD SD CP HH OH..)
you can put stuff like editing individual instruments (step editing) and even velocity per step
and then the whole thing can be outputed as midi notes
the cool thing is that you can still flash your normal x0x firmware and use the x0x as a 303 when you want to
