the PCB layout is finished and PCBs are in production...
but you can change the components and play with other values so you'll get another sound. take a closer look to the DR-110 service notes and check the clap section.

maybe you can integrate a juice machine and a shaver too

Hello SubStyler,
I'm very very interested in this project,
and I hope I would be in time to get 2 sets of this.

Thanks,
Tetsu

hi,

there's another fresh and stunning drumsynth from a german engineer and last night I have finished one of the pioneer kits:

(still no LEDs because I'm thinking about the possibilities for a metal enclosure)

pretty easy to do with a veeery cool sequencer aboard. absolutely great work!
more info at Sonic-Potions dot com

cheers,

The Sonic Potions machine is on my list - but I'm still more intrigued by the 8060 :D

Willing to share any updates?

to be honest... it precedes pretty slowly.
there are some problems with the PCBs (of course  ) and the delimitation factor is time, my time ;)
I'm waiting to get some offers for enclosures/frontplates, electronic parts and things like that.

there's an audio demo: http://www.freecraftia.de/8060_clone_test.mp3
just three instruments - original 808 BD, SD and CH and no cellphone recording :-)
some kind of sound testing, sometimes with a bit of room effect, nothing serious.
but you can hear what this machine can do (if everything's going well)

I am interested too. I would like to participate if possible. I have built quite a few project and can always go for more drums.

I've been waiting years on Doug with the 808 clone so I'll have patience with this.

hey guys,

just wanted to let u know that the first batch of PCB is on it's way and should be on my hands around May 22th.
I have also made PCBs for a power supply which you can use with a block- or ring transformer.
the power supply PCB is around 100mm x 30mm without transformer.

cheers,
Sub

First I want to say hello to Forum!

@SubStyler,

your drumsynth sounds really interesting. Is there a waiting list where I can register?

Cheers,
Arc

hehe... i cannot post the website for the drumsynth... because my real name is banned here due to spam.
but my first name is c_h_r_i_s_t_i_a_n and the domain has my name in it
ok, so I have to think about another domain...
