I've connected my x0x to ableton via midi in & out, set the proper channels etc.
I can play the x0x fine using my pc keyboard to play some notes in Ableton - it works completely as expected when just manually triggering notes.
But when I actually enter some notes in a midiclip and play *that* on the x0x, it doesn't play correct - it sounds like all notes slide to some note a few octaves up, so it just makes wobbly sounds and fades out.
To check I recorded some loops from the x0x to ableton midi clips, same problem when I play these back to the x0x.
Anyone any idea what could be wrong ?

Try to switch off midi-sync for the midi-output-device in the preferences of Live!
Sometimes these impulses trigger notes and result in random-notes!

That fixed it ! I thought I had already tried toggling remote and sync on and off but apparently not.
Cheers !!

Re: Midi play with Ableton problem
I've never had that problem with hardware synths. It has got to be Ableton that messes that up.
