c0ntr0l/bootload errors

Post by controlvoltage »

Hello,

is there a way to query the firmware version on the x0x? I tried to upload the 1.03 firmware to a second-run kit and got an "access denied" write error... makes me wonder if it didn't ship with the latest firmware already loaded.

In the same session I got this errorlog from the c0ntr0l software:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "c0ntr0l.py", line 101, in OnExit
File "model.pyc", line 87, in destroy
File "model.pyc", line 136, in closeSerialPort
File "serial\serialwin32.pyc", line 169, in close
pywintypes.error: (5, 'SetCommTimeouts', 'Access is denied.')
The USB serial port comes up as COM4 every time, no problem... USB was pre-installed at x0x Centraal, so I'm assuming the I/O should be working OK... everything is assembled real purty-like and all sequencer functions etc. are working.

So, what might be the situation?
c0ntr0l has not been able to connect to this b0x yet. Should I adjust the port settings or USB transfer packet size or anything?

I am running win XP Pr0, service pack 2. It's a fresh install as of last week.

I may want to roll back to SP 1 for other reasons, do you think this might help the x0x situation also? (I have an audio interface whose drivers don't seem to like sp2)
