Green & Cream X0xb0x Finished.

Postby GoldDope » Sun Jun 22, 2008 5:10 pm

Well,
eventualy !!
My first ever electronics project,i was realy, realy carefull building this,i double checked every single solder joint, double checked nothing was touching, and spent a lot of time on the case and fascia,
I wanted to add the bass boost mod but the capacitors i got were the wrong ones,. i wanted to do the resonance boost mod but this conflicted slightly with Mome Raths suggestion to change r97
I did however complete the power switch mod,

powered the synth up and bingo,., beautifull and lovely.

This is a self sourced parts kit, using rare parts from Gaetano,
Parts from Mouser and Digikey,
eeprom and fascia from here,
with some good help, tips and advice from Phono,
This was my first ever kit and to be hones i found it easy.

ill add some video tomorow, right now im worn out :)

Heres the Green & Cream X0xb0x :

Thing is,this x0xb0x is photophospherescent :)
it glows in the dark, ill post some pics of it in the dark tomorow ;)

heh thats simple

put it in any pattern mode, chooe the bank and pattern to edit, then press next, then press a note (add accent slipe up or down here also) press next again add another note etc, press done when you like at step 1 or 16, this sets the length of the patern. Start the seq :)

Its not so hard, also you might want to think about sokkos, since you can do that in realtime then, which is pretty cool

ha,got that now thnks Phono :)
its running well,.
i have noticed tho mines a little bit noisier than some of the sound clips ive heard here, theres a little bit of white after each note -
im not realy fussed about that tho,but its there,is this common ?

* edit ,the little noise is only over headphones,so alls well ;)

the sound is a little out of sync yeh,. i recorded the audio at 96khz seperaterly,. ill have another go at syncing them together ,

the res boost ?
no.,
the only interenal modification is mome raths :
r46 = jumper / r97 = 8.2k

why do you ask ? :(
