Tx for the kind words guys.

@ maxtim....i know...i know...i hope to have one within any time soon....
I am patient...just waiting for the right one to appear and buy....

@ SubStyler....the Nemo was my replacement for my MPC2000XL as i wanted a sequencer which focuses more on creating melodies iso. beats.
I use the XR20 for quick beats in my tracks but more for triggering samples on my EMU6400.

But, but......building your own instrument with your own hands is 2/3rd of the fun. Seriously! (IMHO)
Getting to know the inside of the box, spending time with it, touching every little piece, putting the care into every component install, and then running the juice through your own build and hearing it flow out the outputs in sweet analog glory.

OK, maybe it ain't everyone’s cup-o-tea, but there is something so very satisfying about it (like making music). (IMHO)

I guess it really comes down to how you choose to channel your creativity and use your time.
In the time I am tinkering with electronics, building and modding gear and just loosing myself in sound design, I could be putting together some actual tunes. I tend to get very little finalized before I am off on another tangent. :?

Good luck with your search, I hope you find one that was built with some luv :)

I know what you are trying to say here as i build several projects (yeeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago...lol) myself.

But the great thing about this community is that there are people who put so much love inside of their little beast it would be impossible for me to make something equal (at least in my eyes).

Anyways...i guess i already found someone who makes very interesting versions of the x0xb0x...just wonder if he would sell one to me...

Perfect! Good luck.

I check Ebay for available boxes and 2 came up.

I am liking this one:

The faceplate has the same finish and texture as the box, Cool 8),
red "done" and the rear plate is plexy.

And:

Has the Roland BA662 and some grey button caps and blue LEDs

Tx for the info Maxtim....in fact...i already saw those two online...
The thing is that if i have to import them (i live in the Netherlands that's why) i also have to pay custom tax...plus the power supply is not european...so some extra costs.

What i really REALLY like is this version of the x0xb0x by SubStyler (i hope he doesn't mind me using his picture) :

And i am already in discussion with him about a deal i could make.... 8)

Soundwise it is mostly used as a HipHop kit...all sounds are based on oldskool and new style of HipHop music.
Just sold it btw. as i could buy a Jomox Xbase 999 for a very good price.

I've been rearranging my gear and I think I finally got everything on it's place :D except the rack on the last picture. Not sure yet where to place that rack so that I can easy reach everything when I'm making music.
Oeh, I really love my gear :D

You can always tell mome's gear by the cat sitting on top of it
