Hi,
I was wondering if there is any problem with mounting a through hole ploy fuse above the kink/bend/stops in the leads. I have a project where my 500mA poly fuse is a bit tall for my application. If I bend it over at a 45 degree angle it's fine, but not "clean" looking. I was hoping I could just cut the kink out of the leads and mount it closer to the PCB. Does anyone know if this will cause the fuse to behave other than designed?
Thanks!
Ray

No problem. Just make sure you get a good solder joint.

Re: Poly Resetable Fuse Question
Thanks for the quick reply. Please pardon the silly question, but why are there kinks on the leads in the first place?

Re: Poly Resetable Fuse Question
Most likely for the same reasons as kinked leads in capacitors: http://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.ph ... 92&start=0
