I am a fashion designer, trying to create a waterproof garment using .25mm Fiber Optic Filament
Can this be done?
I saw on youtube that I can wire the LEDs using a 9volt battery, connector, and 18 guage solid wire, switch and shrink tubing.
Is this what you would reccomend? or would u advise using other materials?
How can I make it waterproof once the LED is wired?
can u direct me to what specific items I should buy off this site to be able to create this project, and also what tools will I need such as soders, wire cutters, etc. I am pretty much starting from scratch, and if u could recommend any helpful books or videos so i can learn how to do this, that would be greatly appreciated.
thank you so much.

When you say water proof. What do you mean? Are you looking at wearing the clothing in the rain, underwater or for the item to be machine washable?
