[Completed Project] LED Dress!!

by funkyguy4000 on Fri May 11, 2012 10:09 pm

Hello everybody!

Its been a while since I've posted, primarily cause I've been busy with finals. But in the midst of all that, my girlfriend and I made an LED dress for a fashion show that was at our university.

So without further to do, here is the link!

UV - Clever.
Are UV LEDs on a dress your original idea?
Or have you seen it somewhere before?
In some ways the girl seems almost invisible or as if she is a shadow.
I've never seen this before.

It was my original idea. I have never looked up LED banned in my life so I just figured since UV makes white colors glow more, it would be a great idea and it really turned out well.

The LEDs weren't' diffused so the light would shine on everything so it really grabbed the attention of everybody. It was run off of a 3.7v LiPo battery (which I clocked in at 4.0v).

I actually quite like the idea of the Kawasaki green scheme :)
