Shared Ground

Post by britesc »

Hi,

Can different DC Voltages share the same ground.
I have an Adafruit large breadboard with 4 terminals.
Can I mark them up as Ground, 3VDC, 5VDC & 9VDC.
Making the futherest righthand column Ground, the next 3VDC, then the nearest righthand 5VDC, and the last 9VDC?

Thanks and kind regards,

Yes. Generally, all power sources in your project should be referenced to the same ground. If you are using multiple supplies to get these different voltages, you should connect all the grounds together.
