Powering EL Tape with Wall Adapter

by ajburr on Wed Nov 14, 2012 3:07 pm

Hi all,

I apologize in advance for this noob-type question, but is it at all possible to power EL Tape with a wall adapter? It's just that I would prefer such an adapter over repeatedly replacing batteries. For that matter, does anyone know how long a meter-length strip of EL tape lasts on 2 AA batteries? If they last a long time, then I probably wouldn't need an adapter.

Thanks!

Takes a *little* work, in that you'd need a 12V adapter and a socket to mate with your adapter's output:
