Im looking to upgrade my current CNC Setup. it currently has 2 250ppr encoders, I would like to be able to interface those directly to either a Raspberry Pi or Arduino Due. even just decoding the encoder one arduino (mega 1280) has a hard time keeping up.
The End-Goal: Have either one or two chips that i can request the current position from. E.x. command the controller to spin motor -> read from chip -> compare reading to desired -> adjust motor.
In summery i am looking for a chip that can decode a 5v Quadrature Encoder. AND Speek 3.3v I2C/SPI. to take the load off the controller.
