Indicator Light Suggestions

Post by makenova »

Hello,
I am building a simple warning system that will flash some lights at forklift drivers when movement is detected in an adjacent hall. I am using PIR sensors for motion detection but I do not know what type of lights to use that can be triggered by the Arduino. Please suggest some lights that are
  • bright enough to catch the attention of the drivers,
can be triggered by the Arduino and
can be easily mounted on the wall.
Thank you for your suggestions!!

Any of our led strips are quite bright and can be driven from the Arduino. In addition to simple flashing, the digital strips can be programmed to display any attention-getting pattern you like. https://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main ... =led+strip

The Arduino can also control most any AC-powered light or flashing beacon with the use of a PowerSwitchTail: https://www.adafruit.com/products/268
