Triac

Post by Teep »

Hi Please help.
I am busy building a circuit to remote control a projector electric screen via rs232 and switch the 220v with a triac. (bt139) It is working fine but every now and then on of the Triac went faulty. The motor of the screen (.5 amps) has got a limit switches on it so you cant use zero crossing although I'v got it on the optocoupler feeding the switching triac. I also use a mov and a snubber circuit 33 ohm and .33uf. I used relays as well but the contacts burned after a while. Do any one what to do.
Regards

Please post a complete and correct schematic of the AC part of your circuit. Be sure to include part number and terminal connections (MT1, MT2, Gate) for the triac. Please also include the logic interface, back to the microprocessor pin that makes the Triac ON signal.

That will help us help you. Good luck!
